    Ends: January 7, 2015 - 9:00 pm

Description: This event is open to all players of all skill levels. Note that there are two sessions: one at 6pm and another at 7pm.

For years, the evil Cult of the Dragon has devoted itself to creating undead dragons in a vain attempt to fulfill an ancient prophecy. However, the cultists were misguided. They misunderstood. But now, under new leadership, the cult believes that the prophecy does not speak of undead dragons, but of a dragon empire that’s been extinct for 25,000 years. Tiamat, Queen of Evil Dragons, has languished in the Nine Hells for millennia. The cult believes that the time of her return is at hand.

The cult has a new face and a new mission. It seeks to free Tiamat from the Nine Hells and bring her into the Forgotten Realms. To accomplish its goal, the cult needs five ancient dragon masks and the support of evil dragons everywhere. The cult leaders—each one a "dragon whisperer"—have reached out to the evil dragons of the Sword Coast and earned their allegiance.

Meanwhile, evil dragons in partnership with the cult seek to amass a treasure hoard worthy of their dark queen, not by plundering their own hoards (of course) but by stealing money from cities, caravans, good-aligned dragons, merchant ships, and other sources. Their ravenous hunt for treasure throws the Sword Coast into upheaval. Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur’s Gate—no city is safe from their depredations.

The situation is dire. However, the Sword Coast is far from defenseless. Powerful factions are ready to rise up and put an end to the tyranny of dragons. Adventurers throughout the Realms must join forces to face Tiamat, destroy the Cult of the Dragon, and prevent the rise of a new dragon empire. In their hands, the future lies.

    Ends: January 21, 2015 - 9:00 pm
Location: Round the Table Game Pub, 196th Street Southwest, Lynnwood, WA, United States

Round the Table

Around the Table is being built from the ground up as a hub for the neighborhood and boardgamers alike. As a gaming establishment, we aim to feature a large selection of boardgames for sale both popular and niche, new and used, and with a back room for quiet gaming, while also hosting obvious events like Magic drafts as well as more obscure ones like pizza-and-beer Game Nights. As a neighborhood establishment, we aim to provide parents a space to unwind, with an open front cafe/retail space to play boardgames while knocking back an IPA. We also want to satisfy children with a large selection of locally crafted ice-cream by the scoop. Events we host range from private birthday parties and charity beer tastings, to book club gatherings. More than anything, we aim to create a place that isn't just beer and isn't just geek. Everyone has something to bring to the table, whether it's a game or simply the whole family. We hope to see you soon--Around the Table

Got a case of the Mondays? Well spice up your weekend shift with some flair!

An EXTREMELY limited quantity of Trinity Brewing's Office Space inspired beers just arrived: TPS Report, Red Swingline and, of course, Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta.

And let's get something perfectly clear. These aren't just some gimmick beers with a label to make you feel better about being ripped off. TPS Report, a complex wit aged in chardonnay barrels on a bed of rose petals, is an award-winning beverage that took home a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival.

We are selling these "Cases of the Mondays" beers individually for $10.59 or the whole trio for $29.99. Read on below for more information about these wicked brews:

TPS Report, Wild Brettanomyces Wit with Rose Petals brewed with flaked oats, flaked wheat, tangerine zest, and lemon zests. Fermented 100% with a very rare variety of Brettanomyces that makes it exceedingly aromatic. Aged on French Oak Chardonnay Barrels and roses petals for complex maturity and sweet earthy notes. 4.8% ABV.

Red Swingline, IPA Primitif. DRAFT Magazine's Top 25 Beers in the World for 2013! A wild and sour session IPA. Brewed with three heavily fruity hops, coriander, and tangerine zest the profile is definitely American in focus. Aged in French Oak Chardonnay barrels with souring Lactobacillus, funky Brettanomyces yeast, and dry-hopped in each individual barrel. A wow moment in a bottle. 4.1% ABV; 100 IBUs.

Damn It Feels Good to be a Gangsta! Black & Wild. Heavy in Roast, Chocolate, and Special B malts this beer comes off with a unique and unexpectedly dry profile. Combining two Brettas lends a milder barnyard, but heavily funky character accented by an apparent 'natural cork' flavor. Balance is created by the addition of three special golden ingredients: Honey, Golden Raisins, and Mustard Seed. 8.1% ABV.

What's on the docket today? [Netrunner day changes]

Today: Friday Night Magic Draft - Fate Reforged [$15] @ 7pm; Edmonds Community College Game Club @ 7pm.

Saturday: Star Wars LCG Demos @ 1pm; Snohomish Boardgame MeetUp @ 2pm; Pathfinder Society @ 4pm; Magic Standard Tournament (we're going to keep trying darn it!) @ 6:30pm.

We have been doing some shuffling of weekly events around, in particular with Living Card Games. Due to an overlap in player interest between such titles as Doomtown: Reloaded, Android: Netrunner and Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game we will now be hosting a generic 'Living Card Game' night every Tuesday so that players can have the maximum amount of play-time.

Yes, that does mean Netrunner League changes will be in order, and we'll have more on that later!

Have you heard of the game, Kings of Air and Steam?

It's not a new game; it's been out for two years or so. It's a neat, 2-7 player game with a great BGG rating and awesome reviews.

We managed to get a deal on a few copies and are selling them for $34.99 (instead of the $59.99 MSRP)!

Here's the description courtesy of BoardGameGeek:

On the cusp of the twentieth century, America is the undisputed land of industry. Factories fire their machines twenty-four hours a day, and demand is skyrocketing in the cities. A small but fierce rivalry of shipping barons must manage their amazing airships and the extensive railroad system in order to get goods to the cities before the demand is met by someone else. Anyone who can't stay competitive will be left with nothing but dust in their coffers!

The process is simple: Factories produce the goods (machinery, textiles, chemicals, food, and luxuries) that are coveted by the city folk. Airships – forbidden from landing in the cities but capable of carrying cargo over great distances – must be used to gather those goods and deliver them to depots along the rail network. Trains then haul the goods to the cities that want them, earning cash for the competitor who gets there first! Will you be the "King of Air and Steam?"

Kings of Air and Steam spans five rounds, and at the beginning of each round, players plan their Airship flights using four of their movement cards. When everyone is ready, everyone reveals their first planned card. According to the turn order and movement limits of their cards, players move their Airships, then take an Action; Actions include Building Depots, Upgrading your Airship or Train, Shipping Goods by rail, and Soliciting Funds from the bank. When all players have acted, the second planned cards are revealed, and so on through the four planned cards until all players have finished carrying out their plans for the round. All the while, players must keep aware of the rising values of the different types of Goods and try to get the most-valuable Goods from the specialized factories that produce them to the cities that want them. At the end of the game, the player with the most money and the greatest shipping network will be declared King of Air and Steam!

Kings of Air and Steam includes seven teams of characters, each with unique powers to give them a competitive edge, and a modular game board that makes each game a different experience.
